Nationality grievances committee reminds citizens of August 31 deadline

The head of the Nationality Grievances Committee, Counselor Ali Al-Dhubaibi, said the committee is working around the clock, even during official holidays, to review all complaints related to the withdrawal or revocation of citizenship.

He explained that each grievance submitted through the electronic system is studied individually and confidentially before recommendations are sent to the Council of Ministers. The committee’s work is ongoing, with staff members preparing reports and legal studies throughout the week, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Dhubaibi urged people whose nationalities were revoked under Article 8 to provide proof that they have begun the process of restoring their original nationality before the Sunday, August 31 deadline.

He clarified that even if people have not yet received their passport, they must show evidence that they have begun the necessary procedures.

He reassured that submitting such proof will not stop the committee from studying their grievances and preparing the required recommendations.
