National Guard Undersecretary: Committed to stringent security and discipline for GCC Summit

The Undersecretary of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Engineer Hashem Al-Rifai, inspected the Gulf Task Force assigned to secure the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, set to take place in Kuwait on December 1.

During the inspection, Al-Rifai reviewed the task force’s deployment at key locations, including the St. Regis, Sheraton, and Four Points hotels. The deployment is part of a coordinated effort with the Ministry of Interior to ensure the safety and security of the summit.

Al-Rifai emphasized to all participating forces the importance of strictly adhering to security and disciplinary guidelines throughout the summit, which is in line with the nature of the mission.

Furthermore, Al-Rifai emphasized the significance of the event for Kuwait, noting that it showcases the country’s civilized image to the Gulf delegations. He highlighted that the National Guard had conducted thorough rehearsals and training to ensure the protection and security operations meet the high standards required for such a mission.

Al-Rifai stressed that the performance of all personnel during the summit should reflect security awareness and a deep understanding of the mission’s importance, in line with the directives from the National Guard leadership, including the Chief, H. E. Sheikh Mubarak Al-Hamoud, and his Deputy, H. E. Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf.

To conclude, Al-Rifai further emphasized that the National Guard forces, as always, are committed to answering the call of duty to Kuwait under its wise leadership. He expressed pride in their role in securing the international event and ensuring the safety of those attending, especially the esteemed guests of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled.
