National Guard denies involvement in collision and chase incident
The National Guard has denied the involvement of any of its members in an incident captured in a widely circulated social media video showing a collision and chase near Al-Tahrir Camp.
In a statement issued by the Directorate of Moral Guidance, the National Guard clarified that its personnel were present only to break up the altercation and prevent further escalation between the two parties, acting in accordance with their moral and professional duty, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The statement added that the National Guard immediately notified the Ministry of Interior to take all necessary legal measures against those involved in the confrontation.
The Directorate urged the public and media outlets to verify information from official sources and exercise caution when circulating news to avoid misinformation.
