Municipality issues 82 violations in major Jahra Industrial crackdown on building breaches

Kuwait launches expanded nationwide building compliance campaign as clampdown on illegal property use continues

The sixth field inspection campaign conducted by the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department in the Jahra Industrial Area has resulted in the issuance of 82 warnings, targeting a range of building violations including the unauthorized use of properties as bachelor housing and encroachments on state-owned land.

According to a statement from the Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality, the campaign focused on identifying breaches of building regulations and ensuring corrective action against violators in line with applicable laws and municipal standards.

Officials confirmed that enforcement teams carried out on-site inspections, documenting violations and taking necessary measures to ensure compliance with construction and land-use regulations within the industrial zone. The municipality further noted that this campaign represents part of a broader regulatory initiative aimed at strengthening oversight of building activity and curbing illegal occupation of properties.

It added that the sixth campaign will be followed by a series of scheduled inspection tours across all governorates in the coming weeks.

These upcoming field operations will be implemented according to a structured timetable developed by the Public Relations Management Team in coordination with relevant municipal departments, as part of an ongoing effort to enhance compliance and enforce urban planning regulations across Kuwait.
