Ambassador Zain Al-Sabah joins Gulf–US defense talks on regional security coordination
Kuwait takes part in high-level meeting of Gulf Diplomatic Roundtable at Pentagon; pushes for stronger security cooperation with US

Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Sheikha Zain Al-Sabah, participated on Wednesday evening in a roundtable meeting held at the Pentagon, as part of the second round of discussions bringing together ambassadors from Gulf Cooperation Council states and Jordan with senior US defense officials.
The meeting was chaired on the American side by Elbridge Colby, and focused on reviewing the latest regional developments, alongside discussions on strengthening coordination frameworks and expanding joint cooperation in the field of defense and security, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a statement issued by the Kuwait Embassy in Washington, participants exchanged views on ways to enhance collective defense capabilities among allied countries, with an emphasis on maintaining close strategic alignment amid evolving regional challenges.
The talks highlighted the importance of the longstanding strategic partnership between GCC member states and Jordan on one side, and the United States on the other.
Officials underscored that continued coordination is essential to reinforcing regional security and stability, particularly in light of ongoing geopolitical developments affecting the wider Middle East.
The meeting forms part of an ongoing series of high-level engagements aimed at deepening defense cooperation and ensuring sustained dialogue between Washington and its regional partners.
