The Kuwait Municipality has reported the successful removal of 330 tons of agricultural waste through a robust cleaning campaign in Al-Wafra Agricultural District.

The initiative, conducted by the Cleaning Department in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, utilized advanced equipment and mechanisms to accomplish the task, reports Al-Rai daily.

Acting Director of the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Municipality Branch, Nawaf Al-Mutairi, revealed that the campaign also addressed violations, leading to the removal of 10 abandoned cars and 8 food trucks. Additionally, 9 road occupancy reports were issued during the operation.

Al-Mutairi emphasized the primary objective of these field inspection campaigns, which is to identify and address negative practices while enforcing legal measures against offenders.

The municipality’s supervisory team, particularly in Al-Ahmadi, remains committed to enhancing cleanliness levels in its areas of responsibility.

The team conducts regular field tours to eliminate eyesores and road occupancy issues, preserving the aesthetic appearance of the governorate.

He reiterated the municipality’s dedication to maintaining vigilance in executing legal measures against those who breach regulations related to public cleanliness and road occupancy. Al-Mutairi highlighted the ongoing awareness initiatives, including the distribution of posters in various languages targeting Indian, Filipino, and English-speaking residents of the area.

These posters aim to educate residents about proper waste disposal practices, emphasizing the importance of securely closing waste bags and placing them inside containers.

The campaign covered all areas within the Al-Ahmadi Governorate Municipality branch, encompassing activities such as monitoring public cleanliness, overseeing the work of cleaning contractors and companies, regulating street vendors, and enforcing laws and decisions related to public cleanliness and road occupancy.

The municipality’s commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment is evident through its continuous efforts and community-focused awareness programs.
