Ministry of Public Works is preparing to float a public tender for the study, design and supervision of infrastructure improvement works in several key locations, including the Kuwait International Airport, Al-Manqaf and Al-Fahaheel.
The planned project forms part of the ministry’s annual procurement and contracting program for fiscal 2026–2027 and falls under its sanitary engineering projects. The initiative is aimed primarily at improving the efficiency of sewage networks and addressing issues caused by aging infrastructure and the end of service life of existing network components.
According to the project plan, the improvements are expected to enhance sewage services, reduce breakdowns and operational problems, and strengthen environmental protection by limiting potential sources of pollution.
The project will include technical studies, the preparation of engineering designs and supervision of infrastructure the works across the targeted areas. These studies are expected to help identify suitable engineering solutions and determine the upgrades required for each location based on its specific needs.
Under the tender plan, the project is expected to be announced in December 2026, with the contract to be awarded through a public bidding process. The planned completion period is 730 days, or approximately two years, from the start of the contract.
