The Ministry of Interior has urged citizens and residents to exercise caution when encountering stray dogs and to avoid approaching or attempting to chase them away, particularly in residential areas and near public facilities.
In a public safety advisory, the ministry stressed the importance of keeping children under supervision and taking extra care to protect elderly people, while avoiding areas where stray dogs gather.
The ministry also called on the public to report locations where stray dogs are found so that the relevant authorities can take the necessary measures and deal with the animals safely.
Residents can report the presence or gathering of stray dogs by calling the emergency number 112, providing the exact location to help authorities respond and coordinate with the specialised agencies.
The Ministry of Interior urged everyone to cooperate with the authorities, follow preventive safety instructions and report any gatherings of stray dogs.
The ministry said public cooperation can help strengthen community safety and protect lives.
