MOI refers 118 e-violations to competent authority for legal action

The Ministry of Interior, through its Cybercrime Combating Department, has referred 118 electronic violations to the competent authorities.

These violations, according to Al-Anba daily, include offenses such as breaching public morals, inciting immorality, insulting individuals’ dignity, and promoting defiance of laws and public order.

In an official statement, the Ministry affirmed that these actions are part of ongoing efforts to monitor and track harmful content on digital platforms. The aim is to maintain a safe and secure electronic environment in line with national laws.

The Ministry urged the public to respect laws governing cyberspace and avoid engaging in or promoting illegal content online.

Additionally, a security source revealed that individuals promoting and attempting to sell Ministry of Interior flash drives on social media were apprehended.

The suspects were monitored, contacted under the pretext of purchase, and caught in the act of selling smuggled and prohibited materials.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to taking firm action against any attempts to misuse official materials or breach cybersecurity regulations.
