MOI arrests 22 suspects in 13 drug cases, seizes crystal meth, heroin and marijuana
The Ministry of Interior said Wednesday that 22 suspects have been arrested in 13 separate cases involving narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances intended for trafficking and use.
The arrests were carried out by the Directorate General for Drugs Control as part of ongoing security efforts to combat drug-related activities and pursue suspected dealers, the ministry said in a statement.
Authorities seized quantities of crystal methamphetamine, heroin and papers saturated with chemical substances, along with psychotropic tablets, marijuana, hashish and marijuana seeds.
The operation also resulted in the seizure of sensitive scales and other drug-related paraphernalia, according to the ministry. The suspects and all seized items were referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal action, the statement said.
