Ministry of Public Works announces temporary road closures
The Ministry of Public Works, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, announces the temporary closure of the entrance and exit to the Fahaheel Expressway and the Central Ring Road, with the closure of the entrance and exit ramps from the Fifth Ring Road toward King Fahd Road, as well as Road 40, for five days.
The closures will begin at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, and continue until 6 a.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2026, to allow maintenance work to be carried out on the lower section of the road.
The announcement also states:
- The coming bridge from King Fahd Road toward the Fifth Ring Road will be closed in the direction of Salmiya.
- The bridge toward the Fifth Ring Road from the western branch coming from King Fahd Road will also be closed.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and exercise caution while driving through the affected area.
