“Ministry of Public Works” and “Municipality” collaborate to streamline road maintenance contracts
The Ministries’ joint collaboration will speed up implementation of 18 major road maintenance practices across Kuwait, valuing nearly 400 million dinars.

The Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mishaan stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Public Works and Kuwait Municipality.
Highlighting the importance of such cooperation, Al-Mishaan discussed ways of joint cooperation between the two ministries and the facilities that Kuwait Municipality will provide to implement 18 major road maintenance practices in various regions of the country in the six governorates, at a value of nearly 400 million dinars, with the imminent start of asphalt treatment contracts.
The Minister called on the Kuwait Municipality to facilitate the procedures of the winning companies that signed the maintenance contracts.
This will speed up completing the licenses and transactions in the shortest possible time, which will contribute immensely in providing the opportunity for these companies to quickly complete maintenance practices.
Encouraging further, Al-Mishaan praised the role of Kuwait Municipality in improving the quality of services provided through communication, coordination and follow-up with the relevant government agencies, and also instilling a spirit of cooperation and joint work between the two parties.
This came after a coordination meeting attended by Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Mohammed Al-Mishaan; Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdullatif Al-Mishari; Assistant Undersecretaries and Department Directors in the two ministries, and those concerned with road projects.
More importantly, Al-Mishari stated during the meeting about the proposals that were discussed, which aimed in facilitating the services provided and ways to support the projects of the “Public Works” and “Municipality” in various fields, in a way that primarily achieves the public interest.
To conclude, Al-Mishari expressed his sincere appreciation for the efforts made by the Ministry of Public Works, and the Kuwait Municipality, praising their initiatives to develop infrastructure and general maintenance projects, in various regions of the country in the six governorates.
