Ministry of Justice launches ‘Right to Access’ service via the Sahel App

The Ministry of Justice has announced the launch of the “Right to Access” service through the “Sahel” app, the unified government platform for electronic services.

The Ministry explained that the service allows users to submit requests to view information and obtain relevant documents from the Ministry of Justice, according to Al-Rai daily.

Users can submit applications on their own behalf, as legal representatives, or on behalf of specific entities. The service also enables users to track the status of their requests and pay any associated fees electronically with ease and convenience.

This initiative is in accordance with Law No. (12) of 2020 on the right to access information, which stems from Kuwait’s international obligations and agreements related to promoting integrity and combating corruption.

The law supports the free flow of information and affirms the public’s right to access it, thereby reinforcing transparency, integrity in administrative and economic transactions, and building public trust in government decisions and institutions.
