Ministry of Information pushes academic certificate upload to September 2024

The extension to upload post-secondary academic certificates allows the ministry to coordinate with the Ministry of Higher Education to complete equivalency procedures.

  • The Ministry of Information circular details how to upload certificates by visiting the ministry’s website, using ‘My ID’ for authentication, and uploading the required documents, with failure to meet the new deadline resulting in the concerned party bearing responsibility for any actions taken.

The Ministry of Information has extended the deadline for uploading post-secondary academic certificates issued from January 1, 2000, to September 30, 2024. This new deadline replaces the previous one of August 24, as reported by Al Jarida newspaper.

The ministry explained in its circular issued on Tuesday and obtained by Al-Jarida newspaper that this extension is “within the framework of the Ministry of Information and Culture’s commitment to facilitating procedures for its Kuwaiti and expatriate employees related to examining academic certificates.” This extension allows the ministry to coordinate with the Ministry of Higher Education to complete equivalency procedures.

The circular includes detailed instructions for uploading certificates. To do this, users should visit the ministry’s official website for certificate verification, authenticate using the “My ID” application, and upload either a photocopy of the academic qualification issued by government educational bodies in Kuwait or the qualification with equivalency certification from the Ministry of Higher Education for those who obtained their qualifications from abroad.

The ministry noted that if the concerned party fails to provide the required qualification by the new deadline, they will bear full responsibility for any actions taken by the authorities regarding their qualification request.
