Ministry of Finance calls on Ministry of Education to promote tax culture among high school students and teachers

The Ministry of Finance has called on the Ministry of Education to allow a team from the Ministry of Finance to hold meetings and workshops on tax culture for high school students and teachers.

In a letter sent to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Jarida, the Director of the Tax Compliance Department, Mei Al-Kandari, said that the Ministry of Finance, after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2019 to hold discussion sessions and introductory visits to enrich the tax culture of students in the twelfth grade in the scientific and literary sections of the secondary stage, some school administrations refused to cooperate in this regard under the pretext of submitting a letter of approval.

Al-Kandari added: “We hope that you will review the letter of approval and instruct the district managers to allow these meetings to be held in schools, with the addition of a teachers’ segment due to their effective role in society.”
