Ministry of Education to set up 19 libraries in new schools
The libraries will be established in Mutlaa, Saad Al-Abdullah, Al-Wafra Residential, Sabah Al-Ahmad, West Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Sabah Al-Nasser, and Jaber Al-Ahmad.
The Ministry of Education announced on Tuesday, the establishment of 19 new school libraries in the areas of Mutlaa, Saad Al-Abdullah, Al-Wafra Residential, Sabah Al-Ahmad, West Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Sabah Al-Nasser, and Jaber Al-Ahmad, according to Al Jarida newspaper.
The Ministry of Education said in a press statement that, in continuation of the efforts made by its sectors in preparation for the new academic year (2024-2025), the Libraries Department is preparing and supplying school libraries in new schools.
The statement quoted the Director of the Libraries Department, Ahmed Al-Majidi, as saying, “The Libraries Department provides accredited information sources that are suitable for all educational stages. It also supports the learner in the curricula and contributes to creating an educational environment suitable for both the teacher and the student by encouraging and developing the student’s inclinations towards reading and scientific research in all scientific and literary fields.”
