Ministry launches ‘Tatman Clinic’ at Fahaheel Health Center

The initiative is part of the Ministry of Health’s ongoing efforts to expand health services and enhance the prevention of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, as well as other sexually transmitted diseases.

• The ‘Tatman Clinic’ provides publications and media materials to enhance health awareness, along with a hotline that allows questions and inquiries to be answered with complete confidentiality.

The Ministry of Health has opened the ‘Tatman Clinic,’ the third voluntary testing and counseling clinic, at the Fahaheel Health Center. This initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to expand health services and enhance the prevention of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, as well as other sexually transmitted diseases, the Al Rai newspaper reported.

Dr. Fahad Al-Ghamlas, the Director of the Public Health Department at the Ministry, stated that the Voluntary Testing and Counseling Clinic offers a range of health services, including pre-test counseling, comprehensive information about HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, identification of potential risk factors, and rapid HIV testing. Applicants can also be tested for other diseases such as hepatitis, syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea.
The Tatman Clinic provides publications and media materials to enhance health awareness, along with a hotline that allows questions and inquiries to be answered with complete confidentiality. They are also accredited by international medical bodies.
