To boost project execution efficiency and uphold the highest quality standards, the Ministry of Public Works has formed a specialized technical committee to evaluate and appoint supervisory and project engineers.

This committee, consisting of seven highly experienced and qualified members, will play a crucial role in assessing candidates for these key positions. The ministry’s goal is to ensure that only the most qualified individuals are appointed, thereby guaranteeing excellence in project implementation.

The committee’s tasks encompass the rigorous evaluation of candidates for vital roles such as supervisory engineers, project engineers, and their deputies. Particular focus will be placed on adherence to the established selection criteria and standards.

To ensure efficient candidate evaluation, nominations will be accepted from relevant sectors and the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport (PART) at least one month prior to the anticipated contract signing date. This will provide the committee with ample time to complete its tasks effectively.

Once nominations are received, the committee will carefully screen candidates to identify those who meet the eligibility requirements. At least three candidates will be shortlisted for each job title, in coordination with the respective sector and PART.

To comprehensively assess candidates’ capabilities, a series of examinations will be administered. These tests will evaluate technical, administrative, and contractual skills, as well as English language proficiency and computer literacy. Personal interviews will also be conducted to delve into candidates’ experiences and expertise. Following the completion of assessments and interviews, the committee will finalize the results and announce the names of successful candidates. The final outcomes will then be submitted to the Undersecretary of the Ministry for final approval.

This initiative underscores the Ministry of Public Works’ unwavering commitment to achieving excellence in project execution and delivering high-quality services to citizens. By establishing this specialized committee, the ministry seeks to elevate performance standards and adherence to quality benchmarks, reinforcing trust in its ability to execute projects with efficiency and professionalism.

This, in turn, will bolster public confidence in the ministry’s ability to deliver exceptional projects that meet the needs of the community.
