Ministry confirms mosques open for all daily prayers despite rumours

The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has stepped in to address rumors circulating on social media. These rumors claimed that mosques would only broadcast the adhan for the noon and afternoon prayers due to energy conservation measures.

The Ministry has firmly denied these rumors, calling them false and unfounded. In a press statement released on Friday, they reiterated their commitment to both energy efficiency and upholding religious obligations.

They clarified that mosques will continue to remain open for all five daily prayers. There will be no changes to this practice, and the adhan will be broadcast for all prayers as usual. Mosque doors will remain open to welcome worshippers throughout the day.

The Ministry urged the public to be wary of false information circulating online and to rely on official sources for news. They warned that spreading rumors could have legal consequences.
