“Minister Al-Mutairi” confirms new sports complexes for Al-Mutlaa and Sabah Al-Ahmad nearing completion
Anwar Jawad Bukhamseen hosted a luncheon today, Thursday, 2 January, in honor of the Minister of Information and Culture, Minister of Youth, and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Gulf Football Cup “Gulf Zain 26,” Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.
The event was attended by the heads of the delegations participating in the tournament, players of the Kuwaiti national football team, and members of the media.
Bukhamseen expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the workers and participants in the tournament for their efforts, highlighting the remarkable image the competitions have presented throughout the past period.
In recognition, Bukhamseen presented souvenir gifts to the Chairman of the Supreme Committee and Secretary General of the Gulf Football Federation, Jassim Al-Rumaihi, and the Vice President of the Kuwaiti Federation, Mubarak Abdul Aziz, and the players of “Al-Azraq,” as a token of appreciation for their contributions to the tournament.
Also, Bukhamseen announced a special reward for the players of the Kuwaiti national team in recognition for their exceptional efforts and performance in the matches.
A Generous Gesture
For his part, Minister of Information, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this generous initiative, noting that such acts of kindness are a hallmark of the Kuwaiti people.
Al-Mutairi also extended his gratitude to the volunteers who dedicated their efforts during the past period, praising their loyalty and commitment to the State of Kuwait. He emphasized that their contributions played a vital role in the success of this sporting event, leaving a positive impression on Kuwait’s guests.
Furthermore, Al-Mutairi highlighted that the championship serves as a cornerstone and a model for hosting future events. He further stated that, as previously announced, the General Sports Authority has developed a work plan to host 45 international championships, showcasing Kuwait’s commitment to becoming a hub for major sporting events.
Al-Mutairi added that new sports facilities are planned in Al-Mutlaa and Sabah Al-Ahmad cities. He confirmed that the designs for these facilities have been completed, and the implementation phase will commence soon.
It is noteworthy, Al-Mutairi commended the efforts of the players, stating that every match has its own circumstances, particularly the semi-finals, where injuries posed challenges that the coach managed effectively. Each player demonstrated an ability to adapt to the surrounding conditions.
Al-Mutairi stated that “The Blues” are improving with every match, and their spirit has significantly transformed. However, sports are ultimately about winning and losing. God willing, there will be comprehensive preparations and future plans for the national team, especially as we approach important upcoming events.
