Kuwait’s weather set to turn cold with colder nights beginning tomorrow
The Meteorology Department announced that starting tomorrow, Friday, 3rd January, the country will experience a drop in temperatures. The weather is expected to be generally cold during the day and very cold at night throughout the weekend, with a possibility of frost in agricultural and desert areas.
The Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, explained that Kuwait is being affected by an extension of a high-pressure system, accompanied by a cold air mass from Eastern Europe. This will bring light to moderate northwesterly winds, which may occasionally become active, resulting in a drop in temperatures starting tomorrow.
Al-Ali stated that the weather on Thursday, 2nd January, will be cool to moderate, with northwesterly winds at light to moderate speeds, occasionally becoming active along coastal areas, ranging between 12 and 40 kilometers per hour.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves sometimes rising between 2 and 6 feet.
Tonight, the weather will be cold, with light to moderate northwesterly winds ranging between 11 and 38 kilometers per hour. The minimum temperatures are expected to range between 6 and 9 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 2 and 5 feet.
Tomorrow, Friday, the weather will be cold, with northwesterly to variable winds at light to moderate speeds, ranging between 8 and 32 kilometers per hour. The expected maximum temperatures will be between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves ranging between 1 and 4 feet.
The weather on Saturday will be cold, with variable direction winds, predominantly northwesterly, at light to moderate speeds ranging between 10 and 32 kilometers per hour. The maximum temperatures are expected to range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.
Moreover, on Saturday the weather in the night will be cold to very cold, with variable direction winds, predominantly northwesterly, at moderate speeds ranging between 8 and 28 km/h.
Also, there is a chance of frost in agricultural and desert areas. The expected minimum temperatures will range between 4 and 7 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet.
