Minister Al-Huwailah stresses equal opportunities for women, disabled
Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah and Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ebraheem Duaij Al-Sabah discussed strengthening cooperation, promoting women’s leadership and empowerment, and addressing the needs of persons with disabilities.

• Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, discussed with Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ebraheem Duaij Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, ways to strengthen the role of women and empower them by promoting social justice, expanding economic opportunities, and enabling them to play effective roles.
Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, met with Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ebraheem Duaij Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs, to discuss strengthening cooperation, advancing women’s leadership and empowerment, and addressing the needs of persons with disabilities, reported Arabic daily Al Jarida.
During the coordination meeting, Al-Huwailah reviewed mechanisms for supporting people with disabilities and protecting their rights through the development of integrated policies that serve this important segment of society.
She also discussed strengthening the role of women and empowering them across various fields by promoting social justice, expanding economic opportunities, and enabling them to play effective roles.
The meeting also addressed the invitation of Gulf Cooperation Council ambassadors to a coordination meeting chaired by the Ministry of Social Affairs, aimed at developing strategies for joint Gulf action to enhance social policies and ensure social justice in women’s issues. Representatives from several countries, international organizations, and civil society institutions were also in attendance.
