Minister Al-Huwailah reaffirms commitment to combat corruption and uphold justice
Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah confirmed the receipt of 100 "corruption suspicion" reports, with the ministry taking necessary actions, and announced renewal of the team formed on June 25, 2024, to continue investigations.
The Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, announced the receipt of 100 reports of suspected corruption involving the ministry’s sectors, cooperatives, and public benefit associations.
Al-Huwailah emphasized that the ministry is carefully monitoring these cases and will take the necessary measures to address them. This approach reflects the ministry’s dedication to ensuring efficient and responsible service delivery while upholding the principles of integrity and sustainable development.
Moreover, Al-Huwailah told the Kuwait News Agency on Thursday, 9th January, that a team formed on June 25, 2024, and headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs, Hiba Al-Shammari, in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 2087/2024, has received 100 reports of suspected corruption involving the ministry’s sectors, cooperative associations, and public benefit associations under the ministry’s supervision.
Al-Huwailah stated that the team has studied and investigated these reports in collaboration with the competent departments to achieve concrete results aligned with the provisions of the law. She added that the team has also made recommendations to address the errors that contributed to these incidents.
Importantly, Al-Huwailah indicated that the team’s mandate will be renewed to continue its tasks of receiving reports related to suspected corruption and taking the necessary measures, and urged everyone to cooperate with the team by submitting reports to the dedicated email address:
