Minister addresses health pollution crisis in Sabah Al-Ahmad

The ministry's commitment to resolving the sewage and lake overcrowding crisis in Sabah Al-Ahmad reflects its dedication to public welfare

Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, has successfully addressed the longstanding issue of health pollution in the Sabah Al-Ahmad residential area. This achievement follows the opening of the Umm Al-Hayman sewage treatment station and the Sabah Al-Ahmad residential pumping station.

The coordinated efforts to address the sewage pollution crisis were executed under the directives of the political leadership, with minister Al-Mashaan overseeing the initiative. The ministry’s commitment to resolving the sewage and lake overcrowding crisis in Sabah Al-Ahmad reflects its dedication to public welfare, as reported by Al-Jarida daily.

The ministry emphasized in a statement the collaborative efforts with the Partnership Authority and renowned international sanitation companies to expand the Umm Al-Hayman station. This project holds strategic importance for the country and aims to provide treated water meeting international environmental standards. The treated water will serve various purposes, including oil extraction, agricultural activities, and enhancing greenery nationwide.
