The Direct Investment Promotion Authority has approved the establishment of Microsoft Kuwait, with an initial capital of one million dinars.
According to the constitution of the new company, its headquarters will be located in Kuwait, with the provision to expand by establishing branches and agencies both within and outside Kuwait.
The company outlined its objectives for which it was established, namely:
- Computer programming activities.
- Data processing and web hosting.
- Computer consultancy and management of computer facilities activities.
- Computer technical and technical services.
The company may engage in similar, complementary, necessary, or related businesses to further its objectives.
The entry of the American company Microsoft into the Kuwaiti market marks an extension of the growing presence of major international companies, all seeking to capitalize on the growth opportunities and benefits offered by the Direct Investment Promotion Law.
