Weather experts are concerned about the increasing likelihood of a dust storm affecting various areas of the Kuwait starting Monday and continuing through Tuesday, highlighting that the winds could suddenly intensify and develop into a storm.”

Meteorologist Fahad Al-Otaibi told Al-Rai, “Monday will bring dust storms, with the possibility of light, scattered rain in some areas lasting until dawn on Tuesday.”

Badr Al-Omara, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, added, “Wind speeds are expected to reach 50 kilometers per hour, and the winds may unexpectedly escalate into a dust storm.”

Meanwhile, astronomer Adel Al-Marzouq explained, “A low-pressure system is causing northwesterly winds, which will range from light to moderate at times.

Scattered clouds will appear, making the weather partly cloudy. As the winds pick up, there’s a chance of dust storms in open areas, with a slight possibility of scattered rain. The winds will shift to southeasterly, and they may blow again on Tuesday.”

He further noted, “This weather pattern will make it hot during the day, with temperatures between 34-35 degrees Celsius, but cooler at night, with temperatures ranging from 17-21 degrees Celsius.”
