Young Kuwaitis take center stage at 2025 ECOSOC Youth Forum

The 2025 United Nations Economic and Social Council Youth Forum concluded at the UN headquarters in New York City, with the participation of more than 300 young men and women representing various countries, sectors, and disciplines.

Kuwaiti was represented in the forum by a delegation from the Public Authority for Youth, headed by the Acting Deputy Director General of the Youth Development Sector, Abdullah Al-Adwani. The delegation included the official spokesperson for the Public Authority for Youth, Asrar Al-Ansari, and an elite group of Kuwaiti youth — Maryam Al-Omran, Abdullah Al-Failakawi, Ali Al-Damkhi, Fahd Al-Dhuwaihi, Sarah Ramadan, and Sarah Al-Tuwaijri.

The Kuwaiti delegation engaged in main sessions and side events, sharing insights on developmental, economic, and social issues, reflecting the aspirations of Kuwaiti and Gulf youth.

The members of the delegation shared their experiences, highlighting the value of the forum in enhancing their understanding of global issues and leadership.

Maryam Al-Omran emphasized the importance of youth involvement in shaping change, while Abdullah Al-Fulaikawi gained a deeper understanding of international organizations.

Ali Al-Damkhi noted the significance of youth diversity and leadership, and Fahd Al-Dhuwaihi saw the forum as a chance to support Kuwait’s 2035 vision.
Sarah Ramadan emphasized the importance of communication networks, and Sarah Al-Tuwaijri highlighted the professional value gained from exposure to international experiences.

This active participation underscores Kuwait’s commitment to empowering youth and representing their voices on the global stage.
