Met predicts extremely hot weather during weekend, advises residents to be cautious

The Meteorological Department has forecast extremely hot weather across Kuwait over the weekend, with relatively hot nights. According to Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali, the country is currently affected by the Indian monsoon depression, which is accompanied by a hot and dry air mass.
This system is bringing light to moderate northwesterly winds that may occasionally become active, potentially causing dust storms, particularly in open areas, reports Al-Rai daily.
Today, (Thursday), the weather will remain very hot with northwesterly to variable winds ranging between 8 and 40 km/h. Scattered clouds and suspended dust are expected, while maximum temperatures are likely to range between 45 and 47°C.
Sea conditions will be light to moderate, with wave heights between 1 and 5 feet. During the night, conditions will stay hot, with wind speeds reaching up to 42 km/h, and temperatures falling between 27 and 29°C.
Friday’s forecast shows continued hot conditions with northwesterly winds between 15 and 45 km/h. Dust is likely in open areas, with scattered clouds appearing throughout the day.
Daytime temperatures will range from 42 to 44°C, and the sea will see waves of 2 to 6 feet. Friday night will also be hot, with similar wind conditions and some cloud cover. Minimum temperatures will hover between 27 and 29°C.
On Saturday, the country will experience hot and partly cloudy weather, with northwesterly winds picking up to speeds of 15 to 50 km/h, along with chances of dust.
Temperatures will again range from 42 to 44°C, with moderate sea conditions. Saturday night will remain hot, featuring northwesterly winds up to 40 km/h, some high clouds, and sea waves ranging from 3 to 6 feet. Nighttime temperatures are expected between 28 and 30°C.
Overall, residents are advised to take precautions due to high temperatures, dusty conditions, and fluctuating sea states throughout the weekend.
