Massive desert adventure park approved in northern Kuwait

The nine million square metre Adventure Zone in northern Al-Mutlaa will feature camping, skiing, resorts, a safari, an international village, race tracks, and more.

The Jahra Governorate Committee approved the Public Authority for Roads & Transportation’s request to allocate sites for open basins and water channels to collect and drain rainwater around South Saad Al-Abdullah.

The Jahra Governorate Committee of the Municipal Council has approved the Kuwait Municipality’s request, through its Projects Sector, to allocate nine million square meters in northern Al-Mutlaa for a desert adventure area, Q8-Press reported.

The Adventure Zone is described as “an entertainment project serving northern Kuwait, featuring a heritage neighborhood, camping and skiing areas, resorts, a safari area, an international village, and race car tracks.”

During its meeting, chaired by Municipal Council member Abdullah Al-Dhalal, the committee also approved the Ministry of Transport’s request to allocate the site for the major fiber optic network project for the third phase in the Salmi area.

It also approved the Public Authority for Roads & Transportation’s request to allocate the sites for open basins and open water channels, including sections with underground water links and connecting paths between the basins to collect and drain rainwater around the South Saad Al-Abdullah housing area.

The committee approved the request from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to deduct part of agricultural plot No. 22 in the Abdali agricultural area, block 2, to expand a mosque and parking lots.

It also adopted Council of Ministers Resolution No. 269 of 2024, based on the report from the Government Performance Follow-up Authority, regarding the provision of strategic storage areas for the establishment of warehouses for food storage and other purposes in the Laayoune area.
