Major road overhaul underway in Abdullah Al-Mubarak suburb
The ongoing maintenance work in the area is part of a new set of highway and internal road projects, which includes eighteen major maintenance initiatives across Kuwait’s six governorates.

Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works,announced the ongoing maintenance work in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, part of a new set of highway and internal road projects, which includes 18 major maintenance projects across Kuwait’s six governorates, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
Dr. Al-Mashaan stated in a press release that maintenance work in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area is progressing according to the established plans and phases for comprehensive road repairs, beginning with the most damaged areas and gradually moving to the less affected ones, with a full commitment to ensuring quality and meeting international standards.
In a similar statement, the deputy supervisor of the maintenance work, Engineer Abdullah Al-Mutairi, confirmed that the current phase in Abdullah Al-Mubarak involves scraping and paving the second layer, Type 2, before proceeding with the final layer.
He noted that maintenance work is currently taking place between plots 1 and 3 and is proceeding according to a specific timeline.
Al-Mutairi also mentioned that scraping is underway between plots 1 and 2, with civil works ongoing in plot 8. He highlighted that the rainwater lines in plots 8 and 9 have been completed, which paves the way for the upcoming asphalt works in the area.
