Kuwait’s Red Crescent mobilizes 100 volunteers for Qiyam prayers at Grand Mosque

Society (KRCS), Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughamis, announced today, Thursday, 20th March, that a team of 100 male and female volunteers will be deployed to assist in organizing night prayers and providing various services to worshippers, at the Grand Mosque during the final ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Mughamis emphasized that this initiative aligns with the humanitarian association’s mission to serve those in need. He highlighted the vital role of volunteer work in fostering a sense of national belonging and contributing to the development of society.
Al-Mughamis explained that both male and female volunteers have been strategically stationed at designated points inside and outside the Grand Mosque. Each volunteer is equipped with a first aid kit containing essential medical supplies and painkillers to handle on-site emergencies and facilitate the transfer of urgent cases to nearby clinics.
The volunteer’s role involves offering first aid and assisting worshippers, especially the elderly and individuals with special needs at the Grand Mosque. Al-Mughamis underscored that serving worshippers during the last ten days of Ramadan is a meaningful religious duty, with the association participating annually alongside government agencies. This effort is carried out in coordination with the Grand Mosque administration and other involved entities.
Al-Mughamis noted that volunteers were given guidebooks after completing a refresher course on first aid and receiving instructions on delivering humanitarian services to worshippers.
