Kuwait’s rainy spell to intensify on Thursday and Friday

The Meteorology Department forecasts intermittent rainfall from Tuesday to Saturday afternoon, peaking on Thursday and Friday. Rain intensity will vary from light to moderate, with some areas experiencing heavy and occasionally thundery showers.

The Director of Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the rains will be accompanied by light to moderate easterly to southeasterly winds, becoming active early Wednesday. These winds may cause dust storms, reducing horizontal visibility, especially in exposed areas.

Al-Ali anticipated that rain and cloud cover would gradually decrease from Saturday afternoon, with a chance of dense fog forming in some areas on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Importantly, Al-Ali urged citizens and residents to stay updated on weather conditions by following the Meteorology Department’s website and official Smartphone application, especially during weather fluctuations, to receive the latest updates and any issued warnings.
