Kuwait’s leadership prioritizes international standard higher education, for national development

At the “Good Practices and Future Challenges for the Quality of Education” forum, the Director of Academic Accreditation emphasized that higher education is a top priority for Kuwait’s leadership, calling it a key investment in the nation’s future and its youth.

Dr. Jassim Al-Ali, Director of the National Agency for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education, emphasized the strong commitment of Kuwait’s leadership to the advancement of higher education.

Dr. Al-Ali highlighted that His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah, following the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, is prioritizing the development of higher education to align with the highest international standards.

Moreover, Dr. Al-Ali reiterated that higher education serves as the foundation for national progress and plays a critical role in achieving Kuwait’s vision for excellence and sustainable development, particularly in the education sector.

During the opening of the forum “Good Practices and Future Challenges for the Quality of Education” this morning, Dr. Al-Ali emphasized that ensuring quality in higher education is not merely a goal but a national responsibility.

The forum, which is held under the auspices of His Highness the Prime Minister, in strategic partnership with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences and in cooperation with the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, took place at the General Authority for Applied Education and Training.

Dr. Al-Ali underscored the need for continuous efforts and the adoption of innovative strategies to foster a culture of quality and academic accreditation. He stressed the importance of keeping pace with rapid global advancements in knowledge and technology while ensuring that quality standards are aligned with the demands of the digital age.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Ali also emphasized that investing in academic quality is an investment in Kuwait’s future and its people. He pointed out that ensuring high educational standards is essential for preparing generations capable of creativity, competing in both local and international labor markets, and confidently facing future challenges with high efficiency.
