Kuwait’s electrical load hits record 17,500 MW; power cuts possible

On Tuesday, the electrical load index in Kuwait surged to a record 17,500 megawatts due to rising temperatures, driving up electricity demand, according to Al Rai newspaper.

The ministry noted that it may be forced to cut electricity to some non-residential areas due to high electrical loads and emergency repairs to certain power generation units.
