“Kuwait’s Education Ministry” assures students’ safety in Los Angeles through continuous monitoring

The Ministry of Higher Education issued an official statement affirming that it is closely monitoring the situation of Kuwaiti students studying in the United States, particularly in Los Angeles and its surrounding areas.

Moreover, this monitoring is being done in continuous coordination with the Cultural Office, under the guidance and direct oversight of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, following recent events involving strong winds and fires in the region.

Assuring student’s safety, the Ministry confirmed that all Kuwaiti students are safe, and assured that they are not facing any difficulties due to the current circumstances. It emphasized that most universities are located far from the fire zones.

Importantly, the Ministry is in constant communication with cultural offices to monitor students’ safety, providing necessary guidance and support through open communication channels available 24/7.

Regarding precautions, the Ministry urged students to follow the instructions issued by local authorities in Los Angeles, avoid areas affected by strong winds and fires, and adhere to the safety procedures recommended by the relevant American authorities.
