The price of Kuwaiti oil rose by 53 cents to $77.34 per barrel in Friday’s trading, up from $76.81 per barrel in the previous session, according to figures released by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
The increase came despite a sharp decline in global oil benchmarks.
In international markets, Brent crude futures fell $3.27 to settle at $71.99 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude declined $2.69 to $69.23 per barrel.
The contrasting movement highlights the resilience of Kuwaiti crude prices even as broader global oil markets came under pressure.
