Kuwaiti malls compete in GCC-wide ‘Muazez’ program

The Healthy Cities Office of the Ministry of Health, has announced the launch of the final evaluation phase of shopping malls participating in the “Muazez” (Health-Promoting Malls) initiative across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
According to Al-Rai daily, this stage precedes the official announcement of the top-performing malls in the Gulf region.
Dr. Amal Al-Yahya, Director of the Healthy Cities Office, said the evaluation is being conducted under the supervision of the Joint Gulf Committee for Healthy Cities, with support from the Gulf Health Council.
She emphasized that this collaborative initiative aims to enhance the health and living environments within public spaces across the GCC.
Dr. Al-Yahya explained the evaluation process includes on-site visits by evaluators from GCC countries and Kuwait, assessing participating malls based on health-promoting criteria.
Kuwait, which has been part of the initiative since 2023, has already accredited six malls for their contributions to public health.
This year’s contenders from Kuwait include The Promenade, The Avenues, and 360 Mall, recognized for their ongoing efforts to improve health and wellness standards for visitors.
