The State Security Service has arrested a Kuwaiti citizen on charges of belonging to a banned organization accused of targeting the security and stability of the country.
The arrest comes as part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing proactive efforts to safeguard national security and protect the public.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said the suspect was apprehended following detailed investigations that included monitoring and surveillance, reports Al-Rai daily.
The authorities determined that he had been receiving instructions from a terrorist group to manufacture explosives and carry out attack on places of worship.
The investigations also revealed that he attempted to recruit young people by infiltrating social media groups and online gaming platforms to promote extremist ideology and lure them into supporting terrorist organizations.
The ministry emphasized its firm and unwavering stance against any attempt to threaten national security, stressing that legal action will be taken against anyone who seeks to destabilize the country.
The statement reaffirmed that security agencies continue to operate around the clock to protect lives, uphold stability, and maintain a safe environment governed by the rule of law.
