Kuwait-US engage in energy dialogue in Washington

Kuwait’s Ambassador to the US, H.E.Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) CEO Sheikh Nawaf Al-Saud met with US Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum to explore ways of strengthening the strategic partnership between Kuwait and the United States, particularly in the energy sector.

The meeting, held at the US Department of the Interior in Washington, also addressed the upcoming memorial construction for Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield, reports Al-Rai daily.

In the meantime, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Washington, in collaboration with the Atlantic Council, hosted a roundtable discussion on key energy issues. Sheikh Nawaf Al-Saud spoke on Kuwait’s evolving role in the global energy landscape, covering topics such as the solar energy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and carbon recycling.

These initiatives signal Kuwait’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the energy domain, aligning with global trends and reinforcing its strategic alliance with the US.
