Kuwait University organizes field tours for new students
In the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024, the Academic Guidance Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs at Kuwait University organized field tours for new students in Al-Shaddadiya.
These tours, scheduled to continue until the end of the week, are aimed to familiarize students with important regulations that will benefit them throughout their academic journey and provide insights into the colleges in the Sabah Al-Salem University City and its facilities.
Dr. Jassim Al-Hamdan, the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized that the department prioritizes raising awareness among new students about the university system and the various services it offers to enhance students’ lives in all aspects.
He highlighted the university’s commitment to the studenst, considering them the focal point of the educational process and stressed that the university seeks to build and refine students’ integrated personalities by providing a conducive university environment.
He encouraged students to follow the instructions provided by the Guidance Department through social media and to take advantage of the services and activities offered by the university, including the rare specialization program and the student employment program. These initiatives allow students to utilize their free time for activities that enhance their knowledge and skills.
Yousef Al-Khamis, Acting Director of the Security and Safety Department, emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws in Sabah Al-Salem University City. Engineer Rehab Al-Sarraf from the construction program highlighted the role of the program, including an office for guidance and information, addressing inquiries from visitors to the university city seeking information about the locations of colleges, departments, and university agencies.
Israa Al-Sabti from the Student Affairs Department shared information about prominent university regulations, graduation papers, and supporting specializations. The organized field tours aim to provide a comprehensive introduction to Kuwait University’s facilities and services, fostering a smooth transition for new students into their academic journey.
