Kuwait to revoke citizenship in 640 cases pending cabinet review
The Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality reported two cases of nationality loss due to dual citizenship and 66 cases of withdrawal for fraud, including dependents.

• While 375 cases of citizenship were withdrawn on the grounds of serving the higher interest of the country—often referred to as ‘noble deeds’—and included dependents, another 197 cases were withdrawn due to fraud, false statements, and national interest concerns.
The Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality, chaired by Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, convened on Thursday, according to a report by Arabic daily Al Rai.

Furthermore, 375 cases were withdrawn under Article 13, Paragraph 4, on the grounds of serving the higher interest of the country, often referred to as “noble deeds,” also including dependents.
Lastly, 197 cases were withdrawn under Article 13, Paragraphs 1 and 4, for fraud, false statements, and national interest concerns, specifically relating to the 1965 census, and covering both individuals and their dependents.
