The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued 4,989 certificates for Kuwaiti-origin non-oil exports during the second quarter of 2026, covering shipments to countries around the world with a total value of 481.6 million dinars.
The ministry said the certificates, issued by its International Relations Department, generated approximately 25,000 dinars in fees. The figures reflect continued activity in Kuwait’s non-oil exports and efforts to expand the presence of national products in regional and international markets.
GCC countries accounted for the largest share of the exports during the quarter, with 4,381 certificates covering shipments valued at 351.8 million dinars. Fees collected from these certificates amounted to 21,000 dinars.
Exports to other Arab countries accounted for 591 certificates worth 23.1 million dinars, generating approximately 3,800 dinars in fees.
Meanwhile, exports to the European Union and the Americas totaled 15 certificates with a combined value of 106.8 million dinars. The fees collected for these certificates amounted to 198 dinars.
Exports to countries not covered by the other categories recorded two certificates with a total value of 425 dinars, with four dinars collected in fees.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said it will continue supporting Kuwait’s national export sector and simplifying procedures for issuing export certificates. The efforts are aimed at improving the competitiveness of Kuwaiti products and expanding their access to regional and global markets.
The ministry noted that the figures cover only Kuwaiti-origin exports for which the ministry issued certificates of origin.
Some Kuwaiti exports do not require such certificates, depending on the requirements of the importing country or entity, and therefore are not included in the reported figures.
