Kuwait shines: Celebrating ‘Glory and Pride’ in national jubilation

The Ministry of Information is preparing a vibrant lineup of events to mark the 63rd National Day and the 33rd Liberation Day, aimed at fostering active participation from citizens and residents in honoring the beloved homeland.

The Ministry of Information (MoI) is gearing up for an exciting array of events to commemorate the 63rd National Day and the 33rd Liberation Day, all under the captivating theme of Kuwait: Glory and Pride.

Saad Al-Azmi, Undersecretary for Media Services and New Media at the Ministry of Information, stated that all sectors of the ministry, along with their media and technical personnel, are working to implement the approved plan for the celebrations. The plan encompasses a variety of activities and events aimed at highlighting the national holidays and encouraging participation from citizens and residents.

Al-Azmi, who serves as both the head of the Public Relations, Media, and Marketing Team at the Permanent Committee for Celebrating National Holidays and Occasions, emphasized the existence of a comprehensive program plan. This plan aims to showcase all aspects related to the national holidays, featuring events and activities that encourage the participation of citizens and residents in celebrating the beloved homeland.

He explained that the calendar of events for 2024 is special and includes active participation from various sectors, including official institutions, the private sector, volunteer teams, and public benefit associations. This reflects the significance of the celebrations and their role in promoting the values of citizenship and belonging.

Al-Azmi stated that the Ministry of Information will initiate an awareness campaign titled Celebrate Responsibly. The campaign aims to promote the values of national unity and belonging and to reinforce the concepts of celebrating national holidays and occasions. This will be carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities in the state ministries.

He said that the ministry will organize an open day for ambassadors from sisterly and friendly countries accredited to the State of Kuwait, members of the diplomatic corps, and their families at the Al-KoutHeritage Village. The aim is to acquaint them with the country’s history, maritime and land heritage, as well as the professions, industries, and handicrafts for which the State of Kuwait is renowned.

He also highlighted the organization of a digitalexhibition titled The Path of Memories, showcasing the most significant historical television and radio productions of the State of Kuwait from the 1970s to the beginning of the new millennium, to be held at the Avenues Mall.

Al-Azmi highlighted the coordination with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Interior to welcome guests arriving through the land ports of entry Nuwaiseeb and the airports. He expressed gratitude for the contributions of all government agencies, the private sector, telecommunications companies, advertising, and marketing companies in promoting the approved slogan for the national celebrations, titled “Kuwait: Glory and Pride.”
