Kuwait revokes citizenship of four persons, dependents

A decree has been issued to withdraw Kuwaiti citizenship from four persons, along with those who acquired it through dependency, in accordance with Article (21 bis A) of the Nationality Law.
The provision stipulates that citizenship may be revoked if it was obtained unlawfully through fraud, false statements, or inaccurate documentation, reports Al-Rai daily.
The decision is enacted by decree upon the recommendation of the Minister of Interior and with the approval of the Supreme Committee for Kuwaiti Citizenship Investigation, and extends to all individuals who derived their citizenship from the original holder.
