Kuwait remains committed to promoting maternal, child healthcare

The Ministry of Health has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting maternal and child health in Kuwait during World Health Day celebrations, which were held under the theme ‘A Healthy Start for a Promising Future’.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is organizing a year-long awareness campaign to improve maternal, newborn, and child health globally, focusing on preventable deaths, long-term women’s health, and support for pregnant and postnatal care, according to Al-Rai daily.

He highlighted the Ministry’s ongoing efforts in comprehensive medical care, awareness, nutrition, and immunization for mothers and children.
Dr. Amal Khader, Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology, detailed significant advancements in women’s healthcare, including the new Farwaniya Hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology department, the upcoming maternity hospital in Al-Sabah Health District, and the integration of advanced medical technologies like microsurgery and AI diagnostics.
