Kuwait Red Crescent donates KWD 2 million supporting indebted citizens

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society contributed KWD 2 million to support debt relief efforts, emphasizing its commitment to social stability and humanitarian aid.

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society has pledged a donation of two million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $6.6 million) to the Ministry of Social Affairs as part of the third national campaign to settle the debts of financially struggling individuals.

This initiative reflects the Red Crescent Society’s ongoing commitment to supporting indebted citizens and their families, easing their financial burdens, and promoting social harmony.

Ambassador Khaled Al-Mughamis, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, stated to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Thursday, 27th March, that the donation was made in accordance with the directives of the country’s political leadership. He emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance social solidarity and provide crucial support to financially distressed citizens.

Al-Mughamis reaffirmed the association’s dedication to promoting solidarity and fostering community security while actively supporting the state’s initiatives to assist and care for its citizens. He emphasized that this contribution aligns with the association’s social and humanitarian mission to provide aid and alleviate financial burdens on those in need.

Importantly, Al-Mughamis expressed his hope that these donations would ease the hardships of debtors, enable them to regain financial stability, and contribute to a more secure and stable life for those facing difficulties.

Praising the generosity of Kuwaiti citizens, companies, banks, and charitable organizations, Al-Mughamis highlighted their vital humanitarian role in this mission. He emphasized the need for collective efforts from all sectors and institutions to support families in need and strengthen society financially.

Al-Mughamis reaffirmed the association’s commitment to its strategic humanitarian mission of aiding those in need, including indebted individuals pursuing their education. He emphasized that the association actively supports students by covering their tuition fees, ensuring they can continue their studies without financial obstacles.
