Kuwait Public Prosecutor bans publishing information on raffle case

Attorney General Counselor Saad Al-Safran has ordered the Ya Hala Kuwait Shopping Festival raffle investigation to remain confidential, prohibiting any publication of related information.

The Public Prosecution announced that a report from the Ministry of Interior’s security services alluded to tampering with festival raffle, involving crimes such as forgery, bribery, embezzlement, and money laundering.

Due to the case’s media coverage, which hampers the investigation and harms individuals before convictions, confidentiality is deemed necessary. Legal action will be taken against those who violate this prohibition. The Public Prosecution will release findings to the media once the investigation is complete. (KUNA)
