Kuwait police round up criminals and illegals in nationwide sweep
The rescue police and their security teams arrested 86 individuals for offenses related to drug possession, alcohol-related violations, or public intoxication.

According to statistics from the General Department of Rescue Police, under the leadership of Brigadier Fares Al-Qahtani, a significant number of individuals were arrested for drug, alcohol, and public disturbance offenses between December 22 and December 28, reports Al-Anbanewspaper.
It was explained that the rescue police and their security teams, during their campaigns, arrested 86 individuals for offenses related to drug possession, alcohol-related violations, or public intoxication. They also issued 8,072 citations for various infractions, broke up 34 fights, and arrested those involved.
Among the arrests, 26 individuals were detained for possessing narcotic substances or pills and were referred to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).
Additionally, 12 individuals were arrested for possessing both local and imported intoxicants, while 38 others were referred to police stations to face charges for public intoxication.
Some of the arrested individuals were found driving under the influence, and traffic citations were issued, potentially leading to the revocation of their licenses for several months. Furthermore, ten individuals with active sentences were arrested, and 42 expatriates were found violating residency laws.
A total of 71 vehicles wanted by the judiciary were identified, and 34 quarrels were resolved, with the involved parties arrested. The emergency teams issued a total of 8,072 citations, and nine vehicles were referred to the impound garage.
