Kuwait outclassed Myanmar & qualify for quarter finals of ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2024

The accomplishment of Kuwait’s women’s cricket team powered by Al Muzaini Exchange in reaching the quarter-finals of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup 2024 in Malaysia is indeed historic and praiseworthy.

Earlier today Kuwait led by Amna Sharif set the stage with a competitive 125/8, anchored by Zeefa Azeem’s spirited knock. Myanmar responded with poise, despite facing early setback going towards the target with strategic batting, lower order batters failed to capitalize on the starts, as the Kuwait bowlers came picking up wickets at regular intervals courtesy Mariamma Hyder, Mariam Omar and Zeefa Azeem in bowling department with two wickets each eventually sealing the game by 27 runs.

Their victory against Myanmar demonstrates their talent and resilience. Advancing to the quarter-finals not only highlights their skill and determination but also presents them with a valuable opportunity to potentially qualify for the ACC Women’s Emerging Asia Cup 2025, which could further elevate their status in the cricket rankings of ICC.

Congratulations to Kuwait’s women’s cricket team on this remarkable achievement, and may they continue to make strides in the world of women’s cricket.
