Kuwait opens transfer window until June 30, receives 676 requests on day one
A total of 676 applications met the conditions for transferring workers recruited under restricted sectors to other activities on the first day of implementing the new decision.
Sources said the figure reflects strong initial interest from companies seeking to regularize the status of their workforce and benefit from the grace period granted under the decision.
The sources added that the electronic platform As’hal is being closely monitored to ensure smooth processing of requests, reports Al-Rai daily.
The sources stressed stressed that approval from the original employer remains a key requirement for accepting transfer applications, in order to regulate contractual relationships and safeguard the rights of all parties involved.
The sectors covered by the decision include small and medium enterprises, industry, agriculture, grazing and fishing. The transfer window will remain open until June 30.
